We are located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, in Waynesboro which is located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains where the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway intersect. I have been turning since 2005. To me turning a piece of wood is like Christmas morning. You are hopeful and excited when you start to open a present and are never quite sure what you’ll get. When I start to turn a wood block I am not quite sure what grain, figuring or colors will be revealed. I enjoy finding what’s beneath the surface and using the characteristics of the wood to determine the shape of the piece.
